Dusting likely makes for a considerable portion of your home cleaning time. That is because no matter what you do, you cannot stop dust from accumulating on top of everything – appliances, countertops, furniture items, etc.

- Soft toys – beanbag toys, fabric dolls and plush toys can all be cleaned with the help of baking soda. Put said items in a bag, along with a cup of baking soda and shake well. The dust and soil will be drawn out by the static and the soda. Remove a single item at a time and shake off the clumps of baking soda.
